Sexiest Men Alive Network : Orlando Bloom

Orlando Bloom was born on January 13, 1977 in Canterbury, England. As a young child, he knew early on that he wanted to become and actor after discovering that movies like superman aren't real, and actors get to create them. This new realisation made him see that he wants to be able to play those roles. In 1993, he moved to London to persue his career, while getting small parts in "Casualty". Orlando spent two years at the National Youth Theatre before getting a scholarship to train with the British American Drama Academy. In 1997, he was offered many roles in different movies after being seen in the movie "Wilde", which he denied to be able to to play in theatre. He also attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama for 3 years.

His real breakthrough role was playing the ethereal elf Legolas Greenleaf in the trilogy of Lord of the Ring. This set him to be as one of the hottest men actors in the industry. Soon after, he also played in Black Hawk Down playing Private First Class Todd Blackburn. His next role was that of Joe Byrne in Ned Kelly, a historical biopic of the infamous Australian outlaw. The film wasn't reall big but he had very good reviews from it. But who can forget the amazing work he did in "Pirates of he Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" as Will Turner?? Nex t came Troy in 2004, playing the role of Paris alongside with Brad Pitt. How can you go wrong?? He then was in a limited release in Europe only, of The Calcium Kid, a mockumentary comedy about a milkman who becomes a boxer. Orlando starred in many more movies following these last ones.
