Jensen Ackles was born on March 1st, 1978 in Dallas, Texas. He has Irish, English and Scottish ancestry. Jensen first came into the business by modeling off and on as a young man. In 1996 he leaned more towards the acting career and appeared in small roles in shows like Mr. Rhodes, Sweet Valley High, and Cybill before joining the cast of the NBC soap opera "Days of Our Lives" as Eric Brady in 1997.

In 2000, he decided to leave this role and get into other ventures such as in the mini-series Blonde about the life of Marilyn Monroe. He later on auditioned for Smallville's Clark Kent, but Tom Welling was taken instead. After this audition, he landed a guest role on the James Cameron television series "Dark Angel" on Fox during its first season in 2001 as Ben/X5-493, the psychopathic, serial killer "brother" of the main character Max (played by Jessica Alba). As "eric" died in the first episode, he late ron came back in the second season as Eric's twin brother, and remained on the show until it's cancellation in 2002.

In 2003, Ackles joined Dawson's creek cast during the final season, playing C.J. In 2004 he played a small part in the movie The Plight of Clownana. In that same year he went back to Vancouver, her ehe used to film Dark Angel, but this time he was cast in Smallville playing Jason Teague, who was dating Lana Lang on the show. He followed this in 2005, by having a big role in Devour.

His most prominent role is of course, in the new WB horror series "Supernatural" in 2005. Playing the role of Dean and his brother Sam (Jared Padalecki) to road-trip across the country investigating the paranormal activities, as their father was doing.
