Sexiest Men Alive Network : Jared Padalecki

Jared Padalecki was born on July 19, 1982 in San Antonio, Texas. Unlike a lot of other actors, Jared knew exactly what he wanted to do in life at a early age. At age 12, he actually started taking acting lessons and as well as appearing in school plays. Jared was noticed by a talent manager in 1999, after presenting awards and escorting celebrities winners offstage at Fox's Teen Choice Awards, which he got after winning a "Claim to Fame" contest at a local Planet Hollywood. Jared looked up that manager a year later and moved to Los Angeles.

With no time wasted, he landed spots very quickly on V movie Silent Witness in 2000 and a recurring role as Dean, Rory's boyfriend, on the WB TV series Gilmore Girls. At this point he turned a lot of teenage girl heads by having his pictures in many teenage magazines.

In 2001, Jared entered the big movie screens by appearing in the independent baseball movie "A Little Inside". Still appearing on Gilmore Girls for two more seasons, he still made TV movies such as Close to Home in 2001 and "A Ring of Endless Light"on th same year, as well as a guest appearance on ER when not on Gilmore Girls. Jared didn't stop there. He then continued on major movies like "cheaper by the dozen", landing a small role as a bully who picks on Charlie Baker, played by Tom Welling.

Jared continued in 2004 in "New York Minute" playing opposite of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. In the film, the sisters break into his hotel room and he ends up falling for one of them. That same year, he also landed a starring role in Flight of the Phoenix (2004), opposite Dennis Quaid. In 2005, Padalecki starred opposite Elisha Cuthbert, Chad Michael Murray and Paris Hilton in the horror film House of Wax, and appeared in another horror film, Cry Wolf, on the set of which he met his longtime girlfriend, co-star Sandra McCoy.

The same year, Padalecki was cast as Sam Winchester on Supernatural, whihc is what he is most known for alongside Jensen Ackles, his brother on the show.
