Sexiest Men Alive Network : Jamie Foxx

Jamie Foxx who was born as Eric Morlon Bishop on December 13, 1967. Foxx was introduced to the entertainment industry by starting in his church as the church's choir director and music director, and also started his own R&B band. One day while going to a comedy club, his friends convinced him to go on stage and do some impersonations, from this moment it showed very well that Foxx would do well in comedy, as the audience were very pleased with his performances. This led him to move to L.A. to persue his career.

At 22, Foxx was cast as part of a classic show today, " In Living Color", which got him a part as a recurring role on Charles Dutton's sitcom Roc. In 1996 he was given his own show, and also has appeared on his first movie, The Truth About Cats and Dogs. He appeared i a few other movies like, The Great White Hype as well as, Booty call. His real breakthrough role for great reviews was in 1999 in Any Given Sunday, this role gave him a wider audience. He then returned to full comedy as he was casted in Bait and Held Up.

In 2001, he showed his dramatic side once more, with a role as Drew 'Bundini' Brown in Michael Mann's biopic Al. Foxx followed this by appearing in 2003 Sylvester Stallone drama Shade, which was not very exposed. 2004 was quite a year for Jamie, he impressed everyone with his great performance in Collateral. When it was announced that he was playing the role of Ray in Ray Charles, audiences were blown away with his talent. This statement is roven by his winning Oscar award as the best actor of 2005.

Foxx doesn't stop there. Don't forget, he has an amazing voice as well! He made an album after his prize at the Oscar's, which made a good amount of sales. He went back to movies in the action movie Stealth, and appeared as a leader of men in Jarhead. In 2006 he reteamed with Michael Mann starring as Tubbs in the big-screen adaptation of Miami Vice, and now is in on of the best movies of the year, Dreamgirls opposite Eddie Murphy.
